John’s meal memories

It was a sort of pick-your-own place, really a market garden. We’d wolf down fistfuls of pippy raspberries, running up and down the canes. Our fingers went bright pink. Better still was the sponge pudding later at home, mum loading it with the sweet, squishy tangy fruit. Miracle of mum miracles, with none of those pips to get stuck in your teeth.
