At 82, Mrs Williamson knows what she likes. Living independently in East Sussex, with her beloved Bichon Frise, Lady, she enjoys a good life filled with her own interests, fond memories and the freedom to do things her way.

And when it comes to mealtimes, she knows that good food doesn't have to mean spending hours in the kitchen.

“I have a good life as an older woman, very much enhanced by my eating habits,” she says.

Wholesome meals, without the fuss

Mrs Williamson first came across Parsley Box while travelling around England in a caravan with a dear friend. Having meals tucked away in the cupboards meant there was always something tasty and satisfying ready to enjoy, wherever their adventures took them.

Her absolute favourite? Steak Hotpot.

“When you're travelling in a caravan and you can open up a Steak Hotpot, then there you have your meat, your veg, your lovely gravy, and you've got a meal instantly in about two minutes. Wonderful!”

It's a meal that brings back happy memories, too, making it more than just a convenient cupboard staple.

“When I ring up and order, I get someone on the end of the phone. I get a voice, I get assistance. You’ve got people who are human at the end of the phone. That's another big plus.”
