Dorothy's meal memories

My sister Freda made all her own clothes, and she cooked like she sewed: patient and methodical. Her signature dish was pasta bolognese, and she’d labour over it for hours, hair perfectly pinned and sipping red wine as she stirred it in. In her own unique way, she made something simple feel like a five-star experience.
