
Lamb Rogan Josh with Rice
Our Lamb Rogan Josh is made with succulent pieces of lamb in a medium-spiced curry sauce with chickpeas, tomatoes and natural yoghurt spiked with Indian spices and green chilli.
Rogan josh is dish with a fuzzy history. It’s a Kashmiri dish. Definitely has some Moghul influence way back and it’s become a global classic. Succulent pieces of lamb leg and shoulder are slow cooked in a medium-spiced curry sauce with chickpeas, tomatoes and natural yoghurt spiked with Indian spices and green chilli. Meal comes with a separate side of rice - ready to reheat in a convenient single portion microwavable pouch (125g). Note we recommend reheating tray and pouch separately.

Lamb Rogan Josh (1375):
For best results please microwave.
Microwave:
Remove sleeve, pierce film several times and place in microwave.
The following is a guide only.
850W microwaves: Full power for 1 minute 30 seconds.
1000W microwaves: Full power for 1 minute 20 seconds.
After heating allow to stand for 1 minute, then carefully peel back the film, then stir and serve.
(CAUTION: hot steam may escape)
DO NOT REHEAT.
Hob:
Empty contents into a saucepan.
Warm on a low heat, stirring occasionally until piping hot.
Make sure food is hot throughout and serve.
Long Grain Rice (1225):
Knead the grains in the closed pouch. Tear the top of the pouch by 2 cm. Place the pouch upright in the microwave.
700W: Cook on full power for 1 minute. Remove the pouch from the microwave and tear open. Take care when handling and opening the pouch (caution: hot steam may escape). Microwaves vary. For microwaves of different wattages, adjust the time accordingly.
To fry: heat a spoonful of oil (15ml) in a wok or frying pan. Add the contents of the pouch and fry over a moderate to high heat for 3-4 minutes. Stir frequently. Do not reheat.
