A hearty casserole made with British chicken, carrot, swede and leeks in a rich gravy, topped with herb dumplings (270g)
Hearty and warming, this tender British chicken thigh casserole combines chunky carrot, swede and leeks in a rich gravy topped with herb dumplings made with traditional beef suet. Our Serving Suggestion Creamed spinach, Chantenay carrots are all great partners or purple sprouting broccoli and British petit pois would be lovely with this casserole. After baking in the oven scatter over some freshly chopped flat leaf parsley to brighten the flavour! Our Drinks Pairing Stews tend to be intensely flavoured with a rich thick sauce so you could argue that you need a big wine to hold its own. But that can be overwhelming. We prefer a slightly lighter more rustic red - grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Malbec and Tempranillo hit the spot for us

For best results please microwave.
Remove sleeve, pierce film several times and place in microwave.
The following is a guide only.
850W microwaves: Full power for 2 minutes 30 seconds.
1000W microwaves: Full power for 2 minutes.
After heating allow to stand for 1 minute, then carefully peel back the film (CAUTION: hot steam may escape) remove dumplings, stir the casserole and serve.
DO NOT REHEAT.
Remove sleeve and film. Remove the contents from the tray and place in an oven proof dish and cover with foil.
Place in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and cook for a further 5 minutes.
ELECTRIC 190°C - FAN 170°C - GAS MARK 5
Make sure food is hot throughout and serve.
