We invite you to join us to help those in need by adding an extra meal to your next order for just £4.95. For every meal you donate, we'll match this.
Description
Last year, Parsley Box introduced a new ongoing campaign where our customers can purchase a Charity Meal as part of their order. Every Charity Meal purchased by our customers is then matched by Parsley Box, and all meals are donated to a UK charity. In 2023, we donated over 19,500 meals to charities and food banks around the UK. At the beginning of this year we asked for nominations from our customers for local charities they wanted to support in 2024, and we will be raising donations for a different one each month.
May's charity is Dunfermline Foodbank.
Dunfermline Foodbank provides food to people in crisis throughout Dunfermline and Southwest Fife - Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Benarty, Inverkeithing, and Rosyth.
The foodbank is a registered charity solely funded by donations from the general public and corporate organisations. All clients have to be referred to use the foodbank and we have over 120 referral agencies in the area.
Volunteers meet clients over a warm drink and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.
